OPTIMIZING
translational research

Laboratory based translational research has a long history of failing to clinically translate, and >90% of all new therapeutics fail in clinical trials.  The healthcare and scientific community are increasingly interested in veterinary medicine to optimize translational research for humans, as well as benefiting companion animals that share >100 diseases with close biological resemblance to people.

ONE MEDICINE
focus

One Medicine Group (OMG) was established by veterinarians with clinical research, regulatory and industry backgrounds.  OMG's veterinary team has a track record of developing products for veterinary and human medicine, and functions as a medical technology accelerator to advance drugs, diagnostics, medical devices, and other biomedical technologies for applications in human and animal healthcare.

MEDTECH ACCELERATOR: collaborative programs

OMG works with universities and industry to de-risk asset development, enhance value, and facilitate market expansion for diagnostics, devices and therapeutics.

OMG enables our collaborators to acquire comparative clinical data to more reliably inform on clinical applications for human and veterinary medicine alike. Our team can collaborate on biospecimen collections to advance multi-omics research, through clinical evaluations to advance biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics and other biomedical technologies.

OMG provides co-development partnerships, where we invest our own resources to develop the technology in exchange for certain rights to the animal health market.  In return, our co-development partners get access to comparative clinical data to inform on human applications and a percentage of revenue generated from the animal health market.

University tech transfer is often focused on human applications of their inventions, often overlooking the applications for the animal health sector.  OMG can assess technology portfolios, and provide expert advice on the applications for companion animal and livestock, as well as collaborate on engaging the veterinary and animal health industry through our extensive network.
