leveraging comparative medicine to accelerate the development
of academic and private sector biomedical innovations

OPTIMIZING translation

The single greatest challenge in translational research is predicting clinical outcomes

Although laboratory research is the basis for biomedical innovation, it is unreliable for clinical translation and currently >90% of new therapeutics fail in clinical trials.  There is a massive disconnect between laboratory data and clinical outcomes, resulting in many university and start-up assets becoming stranded and in need of more compelling, clinically relevant data.

One Medicine Group (OMG) focuses on veterinary patients, as they naturally develop >100 diseases with close biological resemblance to people.  This allows OMG to acquire real-world comparable clinical data to advance both human and veterinary medicine in parallel.

Supporting Arizona's Biosciences

OMG acquires real-world, compelling, clinical relevant data to facilitate technology transfer, increase asset value, and expand applications into the multi-billion dollar animal health market.

COMPARATIVE
CLINICAL RESEARCH:

OMG enables our collaborators to acquire comparative clinical data to more reliably inform on clinical applications for human and veterinary medicine alike. Our team can collaborate on biospecimen collections to advance multi-omics research, through clinical evaluations to advance biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics and other biomedical technologies.

TECHNOLOGY
CO-DEVELOPMENT:

OMG may invest its own resources to develop the technology in exchange for certain rights to the animal health market.  In return, our co-development partners get access to comparative clinical data to inform on human applications and a percentage of revenue generated from the animal health market.

TECH TRANSFER
and LICENSING:

University tech transfer is often focused on human applications of their inventions, often overlooking the applications for the animal health sector.  OMG can assess technology portfolios, and provide expert advice on the applications for companion animal and livestock, as well as collaborate on engaging the veterinary and animal health industry through our extensive network.
